Cart Abandonment Rate

Definition

The percentage of online shoppers who add items to their cart but do not complete the purchase. It is calculated by dividing the number of abandoned carts by the total number of shopping carts created, then multiplying by 100. A high cart abandonment rate may indicate issues in the checkout process or other barriers to purchase.
